The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport,
Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of Economic Development Agency of
Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announced that the organization La Route des
Mille et une Histoires Inc. will be granted financial assistance.
“As this support for the development of La Route des Mille
et une Histoires illustrates, the Government of Canada encourages projects that
help diversify the economy of Quebec’s regions, in this case through tourism
development,” said Minister Lebel.
La Route des Mille et
une Histoires Inc. is a non-profit organization. “The organization has created
a stage show in which history, humor and fantasy come together to introduce the
population and tourists to the rich history of the Maria-Chapdelaine RCM.”
The organization will be granted financial assistance from
the Government of Canada in the form of a $166,500 non-repayable contribution.
La Route des Mille et une Histoires Inc. will use the financial
assistance to purchase and build stage equipment that will raise its quality,
and thus the reputation of its productions.
“Our Government remains focused on four priorities, as
outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadian care most about” their families,
the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of
this country, and, of course, their personal financial security,” Minister
Lebel concluded.
Canadian Grants Business Center provides small and medium
businesses with government grants, loans, subsidies and financial assistance.
