P.E.I. research facility gets federal funding

Government Grants, Government Loans and Government Business Funding can help companies bring otherwise unavailable products to market.
Delivra Inc. officially opened a new research facility on Prince Edward Island. The Delivra medication is one of the most important breakthroughs ever developed to deliver pain relief medication. Dr. Joseph Gabriele and his team have developed a cream derived from natural ingredients with an absorption rate six times stronger than any other current product.
Gary Goodyear, minister of state for science and technology, stated that Ottawa will continue to focus funding on the top priorities of jobs, growth and long-term prosperity, and investing in innovative companies like Delivra Inc. is an effective way to meet the goals.

The Government of Canada has funded Delivera Inc. in the amount of $220,000 in order to assist the establishment of the new facility in Prince Edward Island. The Government funds will be used partly to purchase the equipment needed to further R&D research testing of the project.
According to their site, New LivRelief topical creams are effective alternatives to oral medication for acute and chronic pain, and often faster-acting than oral medication. Unlike pills that pass through major organs and can cause stomach upset, cardiovascular problems and a host of other side effects, LivRelief products deliver fast, effective relief and healing through the skin, directly to the painful muscle or joint.

“If you could take medication in the form of a skin cream - and it was more effective than a pill - which one would you choose? It just makes sense.”
- Dr. Joseph Gabriele
“As a result of the government’s investment into Delivra Inc., many Canadians will one day be able to take their current medications in a safer topical format – getting the same benefit, but with fewer side effects.”
